What counts as the face
The published ₹3,500 covers the face treated as one region: upper lip, chin, jawline, sides and the area under the jaw. That is usually better value than paying per small area, and it avoids the visible mismatch you get when one part of the face is treated for months and the part beside it is not.
The upper lip alone is published separately at ₹800, so if the lip is the only thing bothering you, that is the honest place to start. The chin on its own has no published figure and is quoted after it has been seen.
Why facial hair is the hardest region to treat
Three things work against you on the face at once. The hair is finer, so it holds less of the pigment the laser targets. The follicles are hormone-responsive, so new coarse hairs keep being recruited from fine ones behind the ones you have treated. And the skin is more sun-exposed than anywhere else, which limits how hard the settings can be pushed on Fitzpatrick IV and V skin.
The result is a longer course and a genuine need for maintenance. Expect eight to twelve sessions and a top-up once or twice a year — that is the realistic picture, and it is a better outcome than it sounds, because what is left is finer and far slower.
Pigmentation is the risk that matters here
On deeper Indian skin the complication worth talking about is not burning; it is post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation — the skin darkening in response to the treatment. It is usually temporary, but it can take months to fade and it happens on the most visible part of you.
It is largely a function of settings and sun exposure rather than of the laser itself. A patch test before the first full session, a longer wavelength for deeper tones, conservative settings built up across the course, and disciplined sun protection between sessions are what keep it uncommon. A clinic that will not discuss any of that has not thought about your skin type.
Before your wedding, start early
Facial laser is one of the treatments that genuinely cannot be compressed. Sessions have to be four to six weeks apart because only follicles in their active growth phase respond, and no clinic can bend that.
Eight sessions at five weeks is roughly nine months. If your wedding is in three months, the honest advice is to treat what can be treated and not to attempt a full facial course in the time available — and never to have a first laser session in the final fortnight.
