How the appointment is handled
By a female therapist, in a private room with the door closed, and with only the section being treated uncovered at any point. You are given disposable underwear, and you can stop the session at any moment without explaining yourself.
If you would rather have a specific person, or would rather the room be arranged a particular way, say so when you book. Nobody at the desk will find the request unusual — it is asked for most weeks.
Bikini line or Brazilian — what is the difference here
The bikini line, published from ₹2,500, is what sits outside underwear: the sides and the top edge. It is what most people book, and it is enough for swimwear.
A Brazilian, published from ₹4,000, treats the area fully, including the front, the labia and between. It takes longer, is more sensitive in places, and takes the same six to eight sessions.
You can start with the line and extend later. Extending is common; there is no package to renegotiate.
How much it hurts, honestly
More than your legs, less than most people expect from waxing. The skin here is thin and there are more nerve endings, so the pulses are felt more sharply — but the handpiece is cooled and each pulse is over instantly.
Compared with waxing the same area, almost everyone finds laser easier, because nothing is being pulled. And unlike waxing, it gets easier each session as there is less hair to treat.
If you are sensitive, the week after your period is generally the more comfortable time in the cycle to book.
Ingrown hairs are the reason many people come
Recurrent ingrowns and razor bumps along the bikini line are one of the better reasons to consider laser, and one of the things it genuinely resolves rather than merely improves. Removing the follicle removes the thing that gets trapped.
Expect the ingrowns to improve as density falls across the course rather than after the first session. If you have dark marks left behind from years of them, the marks are pigmentation and are treated separately — the laser will not lift them.
Wondering why the hair is there in the first place? Our page on bikini line hair covers the concern itself, including ingrowns and pigmentation — this page is about what treating it involves.
