How we write our content
Health content should be judged on how it was produced. This page explains how the information on this site is written, checked and kept current — and the claims we deliberately do not make.
How pages are produced
Clinical content is drafted against current dermatological practice and reviewed by our clinical team before publication. Pages carry the date they were last reviewed so you can judge how current they are.
Where evidence is uncertain or contested, we say so rather than presenting one view as settled.
Claims we do not make
We do not promise guaranteed results, describe any treatment as permanent when it is not, use superlatives such as “best” or “number one”, or claim to cure conditions that are managed rather than cured.
We do not use “skin whitening” or “fairness” framing. No treatment changes your constitutive skin colour; what dermatology addresses is excess pigment such as tanning, melasma and post-acne marks. We explain that distinction rather than selling the misconception.
We do not publish comparisons against named competing clinics or practitioners.
Patient privacy in content
We do not publish identifiable patient photographs or clinical images. Where we describe cases, they are de-identified and used to illustrate a clinical point rather than to advertise an outcome.
